Service Description

Our evening antenatal course takes place across three relaxed 2-hour sessions along with a friendly social meet-up, giving you the time and space to build your knowledge gradually and connect with others on the same journey. • 3 x 2hour evening sessions (7pm - 9pm on 2nd September, 9th September, 16th September) • 1 x Social meet-up (7pm - 9pm on 23rd September Groups are kept small, with a maximum of 8 couples, creating a supportive and welcoming environment where you and your birth partner can feel comfortable asking questions and joining open discussions. Throughout the course, refreshments are provided, and you’ll receive a small goodie bag to take home. You’ll also have the opportunity to build meaningful connections with other local parents, with the option to stay in touch through a WhatsApp group and meet again at a relaxed social. Once your babies arrive, you’ll be invited to a postnatal catch-up with your group and midwife, offering a chance to reconnect, share experiences, and continue building your support network. Across the sessions, we’ll cover; • Preparing for birth • The stages of labour, including coping techniques and practical tips • Types of birth and your available options • Creating your birth preferences • The role of your birth partner and how they can support you • Pain relief options (natural and medical) • When and why you might meet a doctor • Practical postnatal care for you and your baby • Feeding your baby • Time for your questions and open discussions We look forward to meeting you and supporting you to feel informed, confident and prepared🌿
